i didn't know. i just know i finally decided to watch it on my dvr last night after havinfg recorded in july or whatever from cnn. i think it may be the same apollo 11 film that was in theaters last winter or spring.

im amazed by the production. all original footage (cleaned up to the point that it seems like modern recreations instead of 1969 footage!).

the only livetime apollo 11 i did was on a website that had the mission in live time 50 years to the second.

i was in-womb for apollo 14 and 15 and on the earth for apollo 16 and 17.

but thankfully great dvd boxed sets with cleaned up footage from the nasa archives. i have mercury, gemini and apollo 11 and apollo 13 box sets of training, hardware assembly and complete mission footage.

yep, im aware of the national goal to beat the russians to land a human on the moon. i imagine the only close thing in my life to what you experienced with apollo was the wave of patriotism for a little while after 9/11.
