Idris caught the virus, says no symptoms at all. Doesn't sound as serious as the press is making it out to be

https://youtu.be/ImhjrueivWM
Not showing symptoms makes it more serious, it means people might not realize they're sick until it's too late and they've infected others with compromised immune systems. Think of plague rats. The rats didn't die, but the people who got the fleabites from them did.

Means those numbers stating that there have been "20 confirmed cases" need to be multiplied significantly to get the number of infected people because it can take up to two weeks for people to start showing symptoms (and not everyone goes to get checked even if they have some symptoms.) If there are twenty confirmed cases it means those people have been spreading it for at least several days and the people they have spread it to have been spreading it, etc. All without knowing.

From what I've seen this last week on social media, I'd say it's more "all without caring" than "all without knowing".

People are living through the biggest obstacle this country has faced in the last 90+ years and are still trying to convince themselves and others "it's just a flu, bro". "The media is overhyping it, bro"

A month from now we're going to be worse than Italy, several times worse than they are today.

I believe it's a good thing because it's not as serious as people are making it out to be. I see this blowing over by early summer when all this hype boils down. Hope i'm correct

Hi. It's been almost 2 months since I've been turking. I feel like such a newbie and need to brush the cobwebs off the turk brain cells. Quick question....is there a current CSAT 1.16/ My panda link might be out of date. Are there still CSATS? Or is the most common one now a 1.12 or 1.13? Thanks.

if that is true, it means the death rate is a lot lower too, otherwise people would be dying for reasons not reported as well.

That is what I felt earlier. Our mayor who is young and single 2 hours ago told us old people to stay home but to keep bars, casinos and other businesses open. That the young people going out was fine as long as it was 50 people or less. That is fine, but if it was my kids going out, I would not let them back in my house.

Won't last long.
Everything will be shut down by the end of the week I'm sure.

I hope you are too! In the 1918 Pandemic many who recovered suffered life-long serious disabilities - some died later from being unable to sleep - some developed a Parkinson-like disease more than a year after recovery and longer. There's at least one paper published showing women who recovered, who were not pregnant at the time, who later became pregnant, had children who suffered heart problems as adults. That's the thing with a 'novel' virus. Nobody knows what may happen.

There are still a ton of c-sats, they've been dropping a bit today but not a whole heck of a lot. I see a lot of lower paying ones for the most part.

I doubt the panda crazy numbers are the same. Will have to build back up my shortcuts, etc. Thanks.

When people start showing serious symptoms (enough to die from) they would likely go to the hospital and become one of those confirmed cases.

But you're right, the fatality rate is probably a little lower than reported.

I'd advise all single men who may want children down the line to start hoarding your sperm now.

I've already got enough to repopulate the entire planet once this thing blows over.
