summer is painfully slow. I used to tell people that there were requesters that would just appear and would save the summer. That might happen. But mturk is a shadow of it's former self and it's slow all the time, now. I wouldn't hold out too many expectations for summer (hope, sure - but I wouldn't count on it

You can still make a little money in the summer for your basic needs, don't expect to make steak money though. Leave that for the other 8 month of the year

If you have closed quals, you can still do well during summer! It's just the student work and studies that slows down. Jun-Aug of last year I was averaging about $600 a month, a couple hundred less than usual, but not awful. I'm far from a super turker though (and no Masters).
