I have it. Dill pickle juice is the only thing that works for me.

How much pickle juice? Even with my prescription meds, I get a flare up 2-3 days a month and am willing to try anything to make it stop.

My mother tried all sorts of meds, and then went back to her standby cure. She'd eat potato chips and sour pickles. I'd go into the kitchen in the middle of the night and there she'd be. At the kitchen table working a cross word puzzle, eating chips and sour pickles with her black tom cat sittin' 'cross the table waiting for his share...he ate the chips. He didn't like pickles.
I imagine the docs have asked you about what you eat and when. Might also not lay flat when you sleep. Prop up. Let gravity help you.

Woke up middle of the night thinking i was gonna die of a heart attack, after feeling like death for 2 hrs while googling what was going on i came to the conclusion that i have GERD. Any good otc meds recommendations ?

I suffer from GERD, and my go to is always apple cider vinegar with a smattering of Prilosec OTC for when things get really dire. I've heard vinegar can make things a lot worse for people though and I'm not sure why that is; for me it's been pretty much the most effective thing I've tried. Even dill pickles are sometimes the only thing I can keep down for days at a time when my flare ups get really bad (about once a month these days). Pepto and Tums are a complete waste of time if it's anything more than a mild tummy ache. Best of luck trying to get things under control; bad hearburn and acid reflux are the absolute worst.
