Description: In this study you will complete a series of "search and rescue" tasks in which you will explore the rooms in a building in order to find victims and rescue them. You will receive points for each victim you rescue. In addition, you will also respond to a demographic questionnaire, and to a questionnaire regarding the strategies you used to rescue victims in the task. The study is open to those at least 18 years old, it takes about 60 minutes to complete. It will provide $6 of base payment and an average of $4 in bonus payment depending on your performance in the task (i.e., how many victims you rescue). This research is conducted by researchers at Carnegie Mellon University. Participation is voluntary. For more information, contact ddmlab@andrew.cmu.edu. IMPORTANT: 1) Once started, please complete the study without delay. Longer inactivity will prevent us from issuing your payment. 2) DO NOT open study link in a private window. i managed just under 51 minutes but man oh man my right hand is cramping up from the repetitive button pushing.
