now's the opportunity to show him what good music sounds likeThe kid just joined me. And is watching the Prince tributes. He's almost 12 and is asking me to explain why people are devastated.
All I got is wait for puberty, kid. and then add 30 years. You'll get it then.
Totally quoting myself but the kid just walked around the house singing "Purple Rain" trying to relate to me. Waiving his hands above his head and everything. I love my son for trying to relate to his mama. The kid just joined me. And is watching the Prince tributes. He's almost 12 and is asking me to explain why people are devastated.

(super glad he has no clue what the words he's singing means yet! He loosely paraphrased the second verse...and I'm so damn proud he could do that even if he some day needs therapy for singing it to his mom!)
My dad showed me Pink Floyd's The Wall when I was a kid and the cartoons part of it really fucked me up. I was like cartoons are supposed to be funny and silly wtf is this. I've loved Pink Floyd ever since.now's the opportunity to show him what good music sounds like
I think this is the most heart breaking thing I've ever heard.
Not a huge deal. I've had cake, just not a birthday cake. My mother wasn't too happy with my existence, and I've been mostly alone since 15. But I'm happy now, isn't that what matters?Im not even sure how to react to that.
That looks disgustingly amazingHere you go, just for you.
Thanks, but I'll turkfit it outI'll make you a cake! Well, I'll probably buy it but it will be from my favorite bakery ever!
Don't feel bad! I forget how normal life is for other people sometimes, and didn't think it through before saying it. Not your fault.Aw shizz. I sent my post about the cookie cake before I saw this. Now I'm gunna go hide in a corner.
I would so make your next cake!
Bahahaha that's true I love you for it, tooFucking LIES. I just posted a goddamned candy cake for you IN THIS THREAD.
Omg. I showed my kid that like five weeks ago and he hates me for it! lol. So maybe I didn't screw him up?My dad showed me Pink Floyd's The Wall when I was a kid and the cartoons part of it really fucked me up. Sometimes I takes a while for the lessons to sink in. As cliche as it is to say, I've loved Dark Side of the Moon for years and years and as I've grown up I've come to identify with different parts of the album. It always reminds me of my dad when I listen to them.Omg. I showed my kid that like five weeks ago and he hates me for it! lol. So maybe I didn't screw him up?
I just want to wrap you up in a big ole ball of totally appropriate love and kindness!Don't feel bad! I forget how normal life is for other people sometimes, and didn't think it through before saying it. Not your fault.
Well I don't know about your mom, but I'm very glad for your sugar-fueled existence .Not a huge deal. I've had cake, just not a birthday cake. My mother wasn't too happy with my existence, and I've been mostly alone since 15. But I'm happy now, isn't that what matters?

Ok. So this is weird. Dark Side of the Moon is what I used to listen to when I did my geometry homework. I got like a 108% in that class!Sometimes I takes a while for the lessons to sink in.
