I wish it was like school where I could just bullshit my way through an essay and include enough smart-sounding words to get by. Rejections are way harsher than low grades though.

Essay questions were the best. If you just wrote enough, you'd eventually stumble on what they were looking for.

I made an A+ in one of my lit courses and never cracked a book or cliff notes. She repeatedly read my essays in class like I was brilliant and really "got it." Maybe I'm just a sociopath.
