Well it isn't fair if a requester scams just like if a worker scams.

I'm trying to figure out who you think is going to intervene on our behalf. There's no IRB to complain to for most batch-work requesters. Amazon doesn't care (and it's likely they wouldn't know how to respond even if they did, given their stellar mTurk CS record). This is exactly why it's risky to go all in with a requester no one has worked for before. Basically, we can write about it on TO, but that's about it.
