And yes, if there's ever issues with HITs I have, I always just message them. Usually they respond with solutions quickly.

Yeah same, for the most part, requester's will handle it well and compensate. I've had a few occasions though where I wasn't given a code or got over halfway through the survey, returned it and emailed them, only to be told, "Sorry that you had trouble with the HIT. Thanks anyways".
