The whole description is inaccurate, especially the "tenure" part. Look at all the people who have been working for years without it and the people who get it within a few months of starting.

The masters program is the only system they have on mturk that just irritates me every time I think about it. The whole system is just a huge scam by Amazon.

It irritates me, too, and I have it. I've said this before. When I got it, there was another person that had the same "tenure" as me, had the same number of completions, same number of rejections, same wide variety of tasks including batches, surveys and transcription. I got it. That person did not. I really do think if they pull a rabbit out of the hat, you get it...a frog, nope, you don't.

I think somebody actually got masters while their account was suspended

but that had to unsuspend it for them to know it right? So maybe they are going through the suspended lists and fixing mistakes as they go as well.

The way they found out was they got the email saying congrats, you got masters. But they still couldn't log into their account or do anything on MTurk.

I wish it was like that. I just decided I would never get it, and focus on doing good work and getting as many quals as I could. I really wanted to get rid of capchas and that is another thing that pisses me off about Amazon. By the time you've done a certain amount of hits, they should eliminate captchas. If they're not gonna tell us what exactly it takes to get masters, they could at least let workers work toward a certain number of hits that would eliminate captchas.

If only there was a contact number or an email that did not respond with an auto-response, I might suggest that. Oh damn, that's one more thing about Amazon that pisses me off.
