My ex & kids say "buggy" (Southern thing?) and one of my friends says "trolley" (She's English...)
I usually say "You goddamn squeaky fuck."
the thing I hate the MOST is being called ma'am. I hate, hate, hate that.
(and down here, it's the politest thing ever :(

Once, I was so upset I just snapped and said: I'm not a Ma'am (which I guess he - the nice person saying it - took to mean I was not a woman LOL
so, mission not accomplished

Its a southern thing generally. Some places in the south where you get a lot of people coming together from other parts of the country don't say it. I moved to a more southern town for college and my whole world changed with the different colloquialisms.

I still say cart.

My aunt used to say "I am not calling any of my teachers ma'am" when she was in High School, and said it was required

now she is a elementary school teacher in the same area
and has her own kids say ma'am to her
she also doesn't let her kids eat smarties
because she heard on the news people put drugs on them

It is a crazy world, full of crazy people
(who would waste good drugs on kids candy?)

So I just spent the last 2 hours building an outdoor enclosure for my cat who just has to be outside, but will stay away for days making me worry. I thought we could compromise: He gets to be outside, but he has to be in the enclosure. He still has grass, fresh air, breezes, water, food, a place to lie down and soak up sun, or a place in the shade.

He is currently sitting on the other side of the fence in the neighbor's yard....

...after getting out for the third time. He is sitting in the shade on their back step, enjoying himself and mocking me.

I'm pouring with sweat, filthy, have had I don't know how many battles with 8 legged demon spawn, and have multiple scratch wounds on my arms.

You don't know defeat until you've had your ass handed to you by a cat. Three times in one afternoon.

Where I'm from people tend to say basket, as well as cart.

put the enclosure against the house. cut a hole in the wall of the house. put a cat door/dog door there. then he can hang out outside whenever he wants. cat paradise.
