My buddy worked in a Dish call center. He got suspended for telling someone to spray their dish down with PAM so the snow wouldn't stick to it. Liability of them climbing the ladder and potentially falling off. Instead they just want a tech to come out and clear the snow off every time. What a world we live in..

I actually didn't do this often, they (at my old job anyway) could see what buttons we pushed and disconnect and transfer were on opposite sides of the screen. But before that system was installed >.>

Any time you work in any sort of call center... you have to assume everyone who calls you is completely brain dead, lacking any common or not-so-common sense, and has the manual dexterity of a drunk one legged dog. If you assume they have any competence at all, you are cruising for a lawsuit.... and a loss of faith in humanity as a worthwhile species.
