Can't really replace balljoints without tools.

True enough however autozone/advanced auto/ O'Reilly does free* tool rentals free being you have to put a deposit down on the tools incase you steal them but you get it back when they are returned. I actually used a ball joint press from them last summer to help a friend do her front ball joints! if you are willing to get dirty and just learn how to do it before hand its really not terrible hard just takes some elbow grease a few busted knuckles couple of cold beers and a lot of cursing =D
