I don't know how this game expects you to keep a gym for 20 hours to get 10 coins, people around me get knocked off within an hour or two no matter what.

I've started throwing magikarp on gyms because it seems to make no difference if I throw a 40cp Magikarp or a 1000cp Jolteon on it

Only reason I kept mine for so long is because the church is way out of the way. The gym on the pier here changed 5 times in the 2 hours I was there.
