I'm also thinking that this helps Amazon have more hits that are invisible to most people and therefore fewer server requests on scrapers etc. Less total server access requests = happier back end folks.

I may just be ignorant about how the scraper functions but I'm not sure that'd be a difference. You're still just scraping 1 page or multiple pages depending on what you have it set to either way, if you have tons of HITs hidden or none at all

Maybe not so much the invisible part, but I wouldn't doubt that these will be applied as qualifications, so by not doing them you'll be excluding yourself from a lot of different surveys or testing HITs. The happiest will probably be requesters who won't get angry emails about how they have screeners.

I could be wrong on how they do this, but I am pretty sure that the actual Amazon HIT page, which scraper uses, actually separates out everything from "for which you are qualified" from that which you are not. If this happens in fewer steps then it will save them access requests.

I should clarify that I don't think any of this will result in fewer PRE's. This is all to the benefit of Amazons servers and their internal traffic. In the same way that the invisible hits have already reduced traffic because we can't see them so we don't scrape them.

Hidden HITs do nothing different for their servers or for us if you only scrape what is available to you. If you are scraping everything, then it just won't show those results, and other results are shown in their place, so you can possibly see more work avaiable to you, but miss the opportunity to inquire about those quals.

If a requester puts an Android qual on their HIT and you have no qual, its no different than if you have the iPhone qual. If you have an Android and you don't fill it out, you still don't get to do the Android HITs.

Do any of y'all have any knowledge (or know anyone that has one) of the Samsung Galaxy J7? I think it's supposed to be a lower tech version of the S7. I've had an S5 for 20 months now and it's acting up all the time. I've been looking at new phones from T-Mobile and I don't have a lot of money to spend in the first place, but it looks like the S6 and S7s have batteries that can't be removed?
Having a phone with a battery that can't be removed when the phone locks up scares me as bad as getting trapped on an elevator!!
I know that this sounds trivial, but as a single mama of 2 little boys, I need a phone that won't get locked up and I'm not able to do anything.
Sorry for rambling, just would really appreciate any input on getting the J7. Thanks, y'all!
