Oh holy hell yes. This middle aged chick just got all excited. That's my girl. I dressed like her for three Halloweens when I was a kid!

When my kid and I saw Batman vs. Superman in the theater, I actually did stand up and clap and yell, "That's my girl!" when she showed up. I believe that was the first time (of many to come) I embarrassed the crap out of my tween/teen in public. (Can't wait to embarrass him again.)

Yeah, I posted in that thread. I have another laptop not shown sitting on the ground under my desk (it's an older laptop). I built the desk myself since I did not want to spend a few hundred on one that was as wide as I wanted it.

And now I totally want to post a pic of the desk my kid's father and his father built for us. It conveniently breaks down into three flat pieces for moving. It's a corner desk. I love that desk. I used it all through college and grad school and now my kid uses it.

It's 1:30 pm on a Sunday. Came in from the hellaciously hot weather and poured myself a wine spritzer. Forgot that even diluted wine hits home fast when super hot and I have not eaten. Time for more water!

Why yes, that's me and thanks lol. How old is your son? Whenever my wife and I sell our house and move, the desk will surely not be fun to move. It won't be hard to move but it doesn't break down into pieces but it fits through all of the doors so that's a plus. I built mine so that I had room for multiple monitors, a printer and an area for study material with a shelf at the end of it. It's proven quite useful.

My oldest son is 21 (oldest daughter 23). Since you say wife you might be older than him (gasp, I hope, I'm not ready for grandkids. Or even kids in laws). My youngest son is 12!

You should keep the desk and move it with you. My son loves the fact that he's using a desk his father built about 30 years ago. I'm glad I have schlepped that thing around with me for 20 years now. His father "lent" it to me 20 years ago cuz I was poor and in college. Now it's mine! lol.

My desk breaks down as the top is not attached to the bases (of which there are two). That helps a lot!
