When I was 16, I took a train to Sacramento with a couple friends. We each dropped 8-10 hits of acid and spent the whole night sitting in a park playing with a blow-up Sailor Moon doll and chewing on cigarettes. When the sun came up, we went to get donuts and the goth guy that sold us the acid drove by and started screaming at us from his car with a megaphone. We were confused and scared. I got lost on the train on the way home and ended up in the engine compartment. I have strange memories of Sacramento.

Well you see.. Around here $700 gets you a studio that you hopefully won't get mugged when you leave and $2300 gets you a have decent place in a middle class neighborhood.

We have a nice place. It's all good, but I've lived here for a long time and the landlord has never raised the rent. I't can't last. Ten years, She did specify within the lease that she would never raise the rent so long as she was able to cover her mortgage payments, but it sill scares me a bit.

Even the people who live in poverty live large here. I couldn't imagine living somewhere like Memphis. Can't argue with a buck fifty gas either. Only complaint is there isn't much to do here and the majority of the community is in their 70s. The town goes to sleep at 8.
