it is not a good system. you are one of the lucky ones. you got decent people to look after you. There's alot of judges and medical professionals that think people are faking or tacking it on. Yeah it shouldnt be easy. but it also shouldnt be demeaning either.
Totally agree with you. Judges have a lot of power to decide things when they could be swayed by emotion and their personal feelings on matters when it should be impartial, fair and unbiased. Unfortunately, the only thing that I could think of to fix that would be to have a judge that is incapable of emotion and instead only capable of using logic to decide verdicts, which doesnt exist. Unless we get robots in the near future.

actual reason: I don't know how to drive and the only thing within walking distance involves a cash register and I'm not ... I'm really ditzy and not good with cash registers.

I'm sure that's really surprising and you never would have guessed.
Oh yeah- I forgot about that b/c I'm working on it...
not having your license limits your job market too...

Get a roommate to cut costs. I'm living with a brother from my frat in college right now and when he moves out I'm living with my best friend for a bit.
I'm done with roommates. Too many motherfuckers out there that think spending money on booze is more important than rent.

I'm just honestly worried about applying for an apartment in November or December. I need to step up my mTurk game a lot in order to even come close to covering the 3x income min rent per month part. That and also worrying about credit.

real life, eh
Nov and Dec are usually dead for rentals as no one wants to move then (so it's easier to get in, at least in my area).

You didn't ask for any advice, but...as someone who manages hundreds of rentals for other people (professionally) and owns my own rental (not so professionally), I recommend printing out your weekly earnings emails (or compile them into one document), and print out your last 45 days of earnings screen monthly. Also make copies of your bank statements and clearly highlight the transfers into your account. You can also print out your monthly statements from Amazon Payments.

It's a lot of work, but if someone walked into my office with THAT much documentation that I can cross-reference, I would be quite impressed.

how about credit? i use to have great credit. mistakes were made with my ex last year. bad mistakes.
Go to Credit Karma and see exactly your score is. Usually, it's not as bad as you think. Most places want 600+. Anything below and you'll have a hefty deposit. Look at your credit report and see if there are small items that you can pay to bring up the score quickly. And, DON'T be late on ANYTHING after today.

Exactly my situation. I'm one of those workers that does way more than their fair share, except my manager doesn't give a shit about who does more or accuracy -- they just want warm bodies in the seats. I made it clear that I expect a promotion and that's still supposedly coming, but when I said 20% he said that it wasn't possible. Nevermind the fact that I do 30% more work on average, so instead of lighting myself on fire to keep others warm, I make an extra few bucks an hour and get my 20% that way.
sorry for the cold water I'm about to throw......

  • top performers earned an average salary boost of 4.6% in 2015.
  • The average raise has hovered at 3% for both 2014 and 2015,

Thats why you gotta room with someone you really know or vet them pretty hardcore.

I've had roommates for the last 6 years and all mine have been fine besides maybe one... but that was more issues with dishes. I haven't traveled into the unknown of randomly rooming with people though so I wouldn't know.

just to add on this one more time. My mother had cancer, COPD, Congestive heart failure, and a host of others things. they denied her 3 times anyway.

I'm very bias and angry at it. My mother had cancer, copd, congesttive heart failure, masses in her lungs, and a host of other things. bastards still denied her 3 times and made her go infront of a judge. She spent 50 years of her life working her ass off just to be told no, this isnt good enough. Even tho you're entitled to this money, cause you paid into the system. I hate it. and it's unfair. no idea why that double quoted... sorry.

That's for yearly raises. I earned just over 3% this year for my raise. I'm talking about a promotion from one position to another. Manager said I should expect between 7-10% as anything over that requires C-level authorization.

I just started using panda crazy today (thank you all for the info about it). I'm very OCD about things. How do you guys organize your panda's/tabs?

dude, I'm in the EXACT SAME position... I can't stand that bullshit rule that your income has to be 2.5/3 times the rent. I have NO evictions, a credit score in the 650/700 range, and no criminal back ground... but that bullshit keeps me from getting a place I want.

I guess you just gotta haggle. fuck it. it works on mturk, so just meet with a realtor or apartment complex, show them that your earnings are consistant and just beg them to trust you idk
