I am stuck in a catch-22 dilemma.

I started Turking just to earn a little extra money while I stayed home with the kids. Now I really enjoy Turking.
I had my Mother-in-law visiting last week and she helped a lot with the kids. I was able to Turk full time and was doing $80-$120 a day.
Now I am home alone with the kids and Turking is so hard with an almost 1 year old who needs almost constant attention.
I am back to my $40- $60 a day.

Should I pay to put my kid in daycare and Turk full time? Would the money even be worth it. Daycare is so expensive. Or should I just be happy with my $40 days?
I have one of two little ones home, one just started school, so I thought it would be easier. I kinda forgot the part that now the one home has no one to play with...but me. How about an at home babysitter, would it be any cheaper? Like a college student?

do you have a full time job to go back to or would you have to start searching all over again?
I do. I also do it part time now in the evenings. I teach English as a Second Language. But actually earn more Turking.

wow that's awesome. what would be the ratio if you went back to full time? like what would you make from a full 8 hour day as an ESL teacher vs those 80-120 days turking?

Neither of the self concept hits load anything for me so I guess I'm sending mine back if anyone else is interested in it.

until you start the $60 hit and realize it sucks
I believe GoldenTemple @IndigoTemple made a statement that was right one point. Which I did experience lol.

"I went through all 5 stages of grief.

Denial - Theres no way this HIT is actually 10 hours long
Anger - What the hell, this block takes 40 minutes!?
Bargaining - Please god, please make the next 5 blocks take a few minutes a piece
Depression - I never should have started this, now look what I got myself into
Acceptance - Well Ive done 30 blocks, theres no going back now."

Mturk is not consistent -- you don't want to be in a position where you hit a prolonged slow patch and feel pressured to work on :vomit: HITs. Or when the burnout comes (which it does with vengeance, in my personal experience) and feel pressured to keep working at the same pace.

Contact the requester, and try turn off any scripts, or ad blockers and keep trying. I had to do this for a bit and it worked.

i never really made it through all of those. it turned out to be a terrible week for me and i only did 14 of the 63 tasks. emailed the requester and he assured me i'd get partial payment so i let the HIT expire and did in fact get a $14 bonus today. but some of the tasks i did took way more than half an hour - would i say that each task was worth only $1? no, and i would not do the HIT again if i had the opportunity
