some a9 batches are up. I think they must not be good ones. otherwise people would probably be talking about them. I didn't check them.
They're six questions total and you have to draw a bounding box as well. Props to whoever can make them worth it.

I can only think of Duck Tales every time I see it.
At my last home (was there 18 years), I had a neighbor that was horrid, and the main reason I moved. One time, he brought the police home after his regular nights at the bar, and they did a sobriety check on our shared duplex lawn. Class.

The one good thing - he kept chickens, and a duck. A white Pekin duck. The animals were neglected, and would sneak through our fence and hang out in my back yard. I fed them oats, and canned corn. I was struggling mightily at this time, just 1-2 years ago. Going through a break up, being forced to move due to my neighbor.

That duck... I fell in love with that duck. They bond differently than chickens. Ducks are more emotional I think (think of how they stick to their mom like glue when babies). I got a pool to bathe in (the owner did not give it a wading pool), & would change the water daily (heavy!). She would lay her duck eggs on my porch every morning to say thank you. She just lit up around me. Flapping her wings, trumpeting.

I called her Daisy. I haven't seen her since I moved (and I actually held her feathers, and cried about her this week), but keep her feathers on my mantle here, with a few other feathers, momentos. Pic of her and her male partner:

Aw, awesome story! But also really sad. I'm sorry you had to leave her behind. :( Honestly, if I had been you, I probably would have stolen the ducks and taken them with me. I stole one of my first cats from a really abusive home.

That is a really interesting moral question. Is it ok to steal an animal if you see it being mistreated?
Much better than the trolley question

It's clear where I stand! :) If I can do something to relieve suffering, I always will, no matter what it takes.

You don't know.. how many hours, I tried to arrange something. The owner was petulant, and controlling, and would not have worked with me, but I pondered a duck kidnapping.

My present home, much safer, in the country, does not allow pets. I was specifically looking for a place to keep them, and made an offer on a small house down the block, specifically because it had a chicken coop, I could keep her in (it was 200 more a month though, and fell through later). I've never kept ducks/chickens as pets...

And just so's you know.. ducks make the largest, most unpleasant poops I've ever seen in my life. Think of a pancake of vomit... I was hosing off that back porch a few times a day baby... hehe

yes, I think of her regularly. Thanks for the thought

Damn, I'm sorry it didn't work out differently. But I'm really glad you got to show her that not all humans were horrible monsters, and that you gave her a better existence for a while. My neighbors used to keep ducks, but thankfully I never became acquainted with their poop. However, we keep chickens, and their poop is pretty gross to. The chickens themselves are awesome, but I could live without their crap. lol
