@cassius Just as an aside. Just at the point where the Germans vacated Holland, the American Army Air Corp flew several hundred bomber "sorties" to drop food to the Dutch. (My Dad was one of those in a B-17.) I have a Facebook friend in The Netherlands who still fondly remembers America for doing that.

The red cross was there to take care of the soldiers but it apparently came at a price. The x never forgave them for that. His uncle was a sweet kind man too or at least when I knew him.

For me it's the local Cat Welfare. You can tell them how you want the money spent I think. If somebody drops a large amount specifically for TNR then that's where it's spent.
