You are so very right. I know. Trust me. I'm keenly aware of this. Losing my daughter taught me that. Losing my grandma last year hammered it home. But. Like I said, it's irrational.

I love him. I revere my daddy. He just...overstepped. We will make up. And no matter what, he knows his first born adores him beyond all measure. (I can still be super pissed at him though...)

well yeah, call him an asshole, by all means if he acts that way, we do listen sometimes

Love that! I had a code word with my kids' dad.

I think that helps a relationship.

My daddy be 76 now. He just...disagreed with me and would not validate my opinion at all. And it was on an important issue. I'm 48. Let me be an adult, Dad! I get to not think the way you do and still be ok.
