Eesh! That definitely sounds bad. It can take a few years for it to feel back to normal again, unfortunately. There are flexing exercises you can do to strengthen it. I don't know how to explain the ones my doc showed me, but you could probably find them in a Google search.

And @Jaded there's a qual to your qual, you silly goose so I can't take it!

I went to my chiropractor many times after doing this and he did a bunch of stuff, plus kept "stripping" the scar tissue that was trying to form (that hurt like hell). He probably told me the same exercises. I stopped doing them a while ago, tho, as it never bothers me unless I do something out of the ordinary like ice skating, lol.
