Marijuana isn't worse because it has no carcinogens, nor does it contain nicotine. THC is a bronchodialotor, whereas nicotine causes constriction. It's also a relaxant (with pain relieving properties) and an appetite stimulant.

I could go on all day (because there is so much more), but in my medical opinion, cigarettes are by far one of the worst products out there today.

To smokers out there, I have a question...

I have a friend that mentioned to someone else that they quit smoking cigarettes. Then they admitted that they do however, smoke marijuana.

I've never smoked anything in my life, but I was wondering since marijuana doesnt have all the chemicals that cigarettes do, would it be plausible to quit cigarettes by smoking marijuana?

i've never given it any thought. i smoked a couple joints in college a billion years ago but didn't care for it so never touched it again. also,there's the fact that it's illegal in Texas so there's that lol. I have a nephew who fits that mold. He's never smoked a regular cigarette in his life but he's an avid fan of marijuana. i suppose it can happen. I know lifetime non-smokers who enjoy the occasional cigar or pipe.

With gum/patches/vaping you're getting the nicotine in a much purer form without all the other crap cigarettes have. The person is still addicted to nicotine, and it does have some harmful effects, but doesn't wreck your lungs like smoking does. I think why vaping works so well, it's because smokers still need to go through the ritual, chewing gum or putting on a patch isn't nearly as satisfying as actually smoking, even if it does look like they're sucking a robot dick.

but does it work? the vaper is still dependent on nicotine. Right right it doesn't have the added chemicals and that's a HUGE plus but one never drops the nicotine addiction and that, after all, is what keeps someone smoking.

Oh without question the worst. And that's coming from a 15 year smoker who currently is less than 1 day down in quitting.
