Yes, I am so glad we were able to rescue Lily at least! She was found by a rescue volunteer on the streets at 3 months old so we know nothing of her parents/history and we adopted her just before she turned 4 months old. She's a very high energy puppy, and the friendliest dog I've ever seen. She's doing great now and is being spoiled and loving all of the attention.Aw, I'm sorry. I'm glad you were able to rescue Lily, though! Does the shelter/foster post pics on social media or anything? Maybe sharing them will help one of your friends decide to rescue one/some of them?
I am seriously hoping that I can actually achieve my dream of having a few acres one day, so I can just open my own animal rescue. One where I probably end up keeping most/all of the animals and loving them forever..
They do have social media and I have been sharing their Petfinder profiles and asking around to try to find them homes, but unfortunately they're pit bulls/pit mixes so sadly it seems like people just don't want to adopt them. :'( They are such sweet dogs though, very calm and laid back. Our favorites are Karma, Savannah, and Banjo:
Karma (she's back up to normal weight now, in the pics she's underweight from living on the street): https://www.petfinder.com/petdetail/36817202

That is an awesome goal/dream! The animal rescue here is great. I'm thinking about at least trying to volunteer for them to help out a little.
