Hi I'm new here and to turking. I hope to make some money like you guys and gals! I just submitted my 1000 hits this weekend but waiting for them to be accepted. I only made like about $4 this week. . How are you guys making so much? Do you need like 5000 hits for better pay?
I could sure use some help and guidance as I'm a stay at home mom with a baby and my fiance just got laid off before Christmas.

Hey, welcome. Sorry about your fiance getting laid off; that sucks.
1000 hits is a great start, and once those are accepted you should start to see yourself qualifying for some hits you were previously shut out from. 5000 is down the road, but will also open up some hits, as (to a lesser degree) will 10000. As @thedorchannel said, knowing who the good requesters are and when they post is huge. So too is knowing the kind of work that you're good at and enjoy: surveys, batches, transcription, etc. The work you're good at and take pleasure in is work you'll be likely to stick with; and mturk tends to reward those with the drive (and/or insanity) to stick with it.

i've been the FZ champ the last year. i honestly don't think so here. i creeped and she's a bit heavier in tagged photos of her. i'm thinking she doesn't want me to see her like that. i could be dead wrong here, tho!
