Sometimes I think about going back to call centers/customer service and then I remember how terrible people are to service reps and I'd rather just go hungry sometimes.

I definitely understand that. It's the pay rate, the benefits, and the fact that it's literally around the corner from me now that has me considering going back. To be fair, it wasn't all bad at AT&T, even though we took calls from the NE. Apparently, Okie accents put people at ease.

There's also the bonus that I remember the entry/end scripts to this day (even though we had a little wiggle room in what we were to say)..

I sometimes accidentally answered my home phone with the damn answer script, or started rattling off the phone number to call with any additional questions when I was saying bye.
