There have even been studies that indicate that people who have an abundance of one kind of gut bacteria compared to the other can indicate who is extroverted/introverted. It's a "chicken or the egg" question at this point about which causes what, but it's very, very interesting.

I'll have to look into that. There seems to be quite a few "studies" that try and deal with the extroverted/introverted thing, especially since I am very, very extroverted. Put me into any "customer line" and I'll start two or three conversations; and I'll talk to just about anybody anywhere under any circumstances.

The immune system makes antibodies against the bacteria there, but in some instances, the antibodies also attack normal human nerves, receptors, and hormones.
