I think a lot of that has to do with american society too... most of my non-american friends made it through 30 like nothing... and most of them are showing no signs of a midlife crisis. I think americans place such a heavy emphasis on youth and youth culture as well as work over family life that they hit an age where they realize they are no longer socially relevant to much of american society.'
Anecdotal, but it seems that 30 is usually harder for people than 40. Thats really the first time a lot of people realize they are getting older since they aren't in their 20s, and by the time they hit 40 they are adjusted.
I should add that while I said that tongue in cheek, I had (probably still have) a chronic pain issue for many years requiring the good drugs to control. That is not fun! And addiction happens really easily when something stops really bad pain.Eh, as someone who already has a chronic pain based disability, I'm probably already "addicted" tot he painkillers. They're technically nonaddictive ones but without them I'm in so much pain I can't function. I might be young but I definitely get to "feel" old all the time lol. I feel like a baby and a grandpa all the time. it's weird.
this was kind of awful and very long for 50 cents

kill someone? If you think that's impressive, you should see what I can do with my left pinky toe.
Yeah, I just added context. I knew you were mostly joking, but for me the situation is sadly already a thing. I hope mine will go away, but sadly it seems to have gotten worse every single year so far. Hope I won't end up using a walker this year, but it's looking likely I'll need one if I keep getting shittier with my legs lolI should add that while I said that tongue in cheek, I had (probably still have) a chronic pain issue for many years requiring the good drugs to control. I don't take them anymore, thank goodness, but it was very hard finding another solution.
And fwiw, the pain was a result of childbirth, not age, lol!
my first thought was ultram/tramadol family. but that makes sense too. I had a major injury 12 years ago (hip), and have since been diagnosed with arthritis and I have an autoimmune disorder too. Name a painkiller and I've probably been on it. I can maintain about half the time with just ibuprofen 800s and but still have practically a mini pharmacy in my medicine cabinet for other days.Gabapentin? Honestly, I'm so so happy to have it. I can't function without it. I'm at a 7-8 on the pain scale minimum nearly constnatly if I didn't have them, with them I'm hovering around a 4-5 which is sooo much more manageable. Problem is my immune system is about as strong as wet tissue paper. And being sick makes everything worse.

I can't smoke and it's not legal where I am unfortunately, but haven't been given the tramadol yet. It's often used for people with fibro so I'm glad I haven't needed that one just yet. They kept upping my gaba tho, and it makes me super sleepy at first hahamy first thought was ultram/tramadol family. but that makes sense too. This task has three phases, each one taking about 8 minutes (uninterrupted) . Please don't take this task if you don't have the time, or if you don't want to think hard or be creative.
I did the first one. I didn't hate it as much as some people, but it could use a pay boost.Supposedly not worth it so don't let the $ fool you.
I am glad that I do live in a medical state. I have been through the chemical dependency part of withdraws with various meds and it sucks. it really changed my outlook on addicts to be honest. my doctors have mentioned the possibility of fibro too, but no one seems to want to say for sure. and of course my insurance does not cover most specialists.I can't smoke and it's not legal where I am unfortunately, but haven't been given the tramadol yet. It's often used for people with fibro so I'm glad I haven't needed that one just yet. They kept upping my gaba tho, and it makes me super sleepy at first haha
