I'm just saying a block is a valid use of the current system for more reasons than just scamming... regardless of the controversy surrounding blocks from a worker standpoint. I wouldn't believe @Kerek to be a scammer... but I'll defend his right to be incompetent.

Just to play devils advocate here... a person can be a "good guy" with high moral fiber and still have shit reading comprehension when reviewing instructions or just low applicable task iq in specific hits... without knowing it.

Agreed. I think the issue is not wanting to work for requesters who are prone to block for reasons other than scamming when a qual block would work just as well.

To your point I don't blame requesters who use blocks in this manner but, at the same time, I understand workers being hesitant to do their hits.

Update on yesterday's post below, Requester contacted me, by um my first name, anyways, and said:
"Hi Ruby, Thanks for the note. Unfortunately our app occasionally gets flagged by anti-virus software. It's an issue we're working on correcting. Please note that it is not malicious in any way and you can delete it whenever you like. We hope you will give our HITs a try in the future."

So hopefully all okay. Good Luck

Hi everyone, I see this one post is still up, Sounding Box (Change Sciences Group), the Do Website User Test, I just wanted to say I had a concern about it. I saw posted here and on MTurk, scraper etc. I used IE, which I normally use Chrome, but I read from the TO's that it worked in IE, and saw other posts about down loading a file. The file was a launch.exe file and McAfee caught it and said it contained virus' and auto deleted it. So I will send the Requester a note about same, to see if anyone else had this happen. Just giving a heads up, hope all is okay though. Good Luck Turking all.
