lets not talk about aldi on here. They totally turned me down for a cashier position even though I had 5 years experience in a grocery store at the time.

plus the store is the size of a shoebox. They dont have everything u need.
They just don't have all the different options of products. You better be happy with the Aldi brand on 90% of the store and then you can find almost everything you need.

Might as well splurge with the Harry's or DSC... I was skeptical, but I picked up a package from Target (9.99 for handle, 2 blades and a cover)... blades are relatively cheap after that.
I do DSC for myself. She can have her one razor a month.

$20-$30 for a bottle of wine each week.
I usually buy beer but because of Bevmo I'll pick up a case of wine with a $?? off coupon when something decent is on the 5c/case sale thing and itll last me basically half the year

A bottle of scotch (cheapo like Glenfiddich 12, single malt ~$45 or Walmart's Kirkland (Macallan) $50) can last a month or more!

TOTALLY not judging, because you're right ... kids become extremely opinionated LoL I just never fed into all that food nonsense with mine. This is what I bought, this is what I made ... eat or don't eat  (of course said like Mary Poppins)

As mine got older though, I did start incorporating meal planning and cooking with them so hopefully they can do more than boil water when they move out. My daughter is a rock star in the kitchen ... my son: I think he's going to be eating a lot of scrambled eggs when he moves out! LoL
My husband could barely boil water when we got married. Slowly but surely, he has grown comfortable with several dishes after watching me or talking about certain steps. The biggest confidence boost for him was grilling, so we grill a lot and he has become very skillful at the grill and obsesses a bit even. Your son will get there

how much do you guys pay for food each week? not including alcohol

edit: not including toilet paper and shampoo and other non-food things either
Not including toiletries and stuff, probably about $80 a week at the grocery store for just two adults. And we get takeout once or twice a week and that's usually around $15-20 each time.

By the way, hi. Long time forum lurker/Mturk worker but I finally decided to make an account. :)

If i go shopping maybe $50 for two people? (that includes an averaged cost of things like tp and stuff)

if my fiancee goes shopping its $80 for the first 3 days, then i have to go out and spend $20 for the rest of the week

I used to spend around $30 a week on alcohol (for home) but now I've cut it down to $10/week

edit: less if i can pilfer whatever things my friend grows in his massive garden
Congratulations on the decrease in booze per week........ or your more efficient purchasing. Whichever. :)
