I had no coverage before it happened. I got medicaid in the hospital and had it for like three months. I never followed up on it so now I am no longer covered. They did take care of those bills for me but now I can't go back to the same guy who did my surgery for follow ups because I am a broke joke. That incident cost me nothing out of pocket though.

Having dental insurance is obviously better than not having it, but I've found that unless it's a cleaning/xrays the cost is still ridiculous. I had a root canal earlier this year. It cost me $2800.
