It seemed especially senseless with GoT to me, I think because I read the books. There's already so much sex in the books and HBO went and started adding even more sex that wasn't even in there. I think after the first season, they must have realized that they just had too much story to tell, to include all of that, so it kinda got toned down a bit. There's still a lot in the other seasons, but I think it's more on par with the books and not nearly as bad as that first season.

Thanks, I'd actually thought of starting with the books a few years ago, I don't know why I never did, maybe I'll try that.

I did! I'm cautiously optimistic. And since we're never getting another book again, at least we'll have something to watch.
