I've had this computer for 2 years, got it used and have never reinstalled windows on it. I don't have a current copy and the last time I did something like that it required you to have the $100+ CD. Is there another way to do this? Or should I just save my money? PM me if necessary  I understand some answers can't be explained here...
If you got it used I would 100% reinstall windows at least once. Who knows what kind of internet behavior the previous owner had even if they were careful. I think i told you about the OEM copies you can get for cheap that are official windows and fully legal. They just lack official microsoft customer support which is pretty much useless anyway... Think about the last time you called up microsoft to ask for help...
He does a good explanation of how it works and should ease your mind if you think its shady which it definitely isn't. You're basically getting very close to the price computer manufacturers pay for the copy of windows they load onto computers u buy premade

Retake is 60 minutes
It says that, but I submitted the temporality one a week ago and it won't let me retake it.

I have the presence qual somehow, so I'm going to hammer out a bunch of these now that they're 2c instead of 1c. I've done thousands of them over the past few weeks and they approve usually within a day or so.

I've been thinking about going to the Mariners game tomorrow.
I want to go to the June 1st game. I'm a Colorado transplant so of course I need to represent with my Rockies gear  My roommates went last night and got these weird hoodie things.

I should find something to do outside too. It'll happen someday.
Supposed to be nice until Tues or Wed. Like close to 90. I prefer this 70 degree weather, personally. I don't think I'm ready for hot yet.

I'm dreading it. I have no air conditioning in my apartment so I'll be melting at my desk.

Any chance you can install a window AC? You can find them often times on sale for $100 or less for a small one if you check slick deals regularly. That might be a lot of money to you idk but I think if you're home all day during the hot summer turking the morale boost will pay for itself

No. My apartment windows are built stupid and there's none that I've found that would fit it.

Thanks so much! I agree that I probably should have done that a long time ago and that Microsoft customer support is a joke. I'll definitely check this out as soon as I get the kiddos in bed (30 mins and counting!!! :celebrate:)

All I can tell you about the previous owner is that he was a mid-40's CAD designer who enjoyed gay porn, 80's music, and had two cats. For whatever reason he left this computer and an older 64" TV plus some other random stuff in an abandoned storage unit. My husband was manager at the storage place at the time and basically we hit the jackpot. Here are the computer stats. If you don't mind can you tell me how "good" this computer is? I honestly have no clue... I just know my brother started cursing me out when I told him ROFLMAO

Windows 10 Home, Version 1703, OS Build 15063.296, Product ID 00326-10000-00000-AA936, Processor Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-2400 CPU @ 3.10GHz 3.10GHz, Installed RAM 8.00GB, System type 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor, No pen and touch input available.

We don't have AC either and we have those windows that slide sideways instead of opening up and down. There's a hack to get the window unit to fit in there, but I'm not handy enough to pull it off.

I would always advise against buying a used computer. If you're going to do that, you need to at the very least buy a new hard drive and OS. Install the hard drive (it's literally as simple as connecting a wire from the drive to the motherboard), install the OS. You don't want to take a chance on what they might have had in terms of malware.

On that note, if you haven't updated your system recently, look up the recent march Windows Security Update. It has a hard fix for the most recent ransomware attack, and no one wants to deal with those. You can usually avoid those simply by not clicking things in your email, but it can't hurt to be safe.

In that case they do make portable ones you can wheel around the house with an exhaust duct you can run out the window or door. They cost a few hundred but still way worth it. And you can move them around to whatever room you're in so that's convenient

Yep. Those windows suck. I bought one of those honeywell ones that uses water to cool a room and they're okay. It's not so great but at least it keeps that room from reaching 100.

Yeah i'm definitely not into buying used with how affordable it is to build a new one from scratch but at the very least the first thing i would do is install a fresh copy of windows. I'd probably throw a new harddrive and ssd just off of reflex though 'cause i can't stand long boot times and load times lol
