Its a solid mid range computer being several years old. Should last you another few years. If you don't already have one I'd add an SSD the difference in loading is insane and they've come down in price drastically. Considering you got that computer free you scored big. Get yourself a clean oem copy of windows and an SSD and you'll be flying with under $100 investment

They're all pretty solid now. Obviously some are faster than others but even the most basic of SSDs is night and day compared to a traditional hard drive. Check slick deals and https://www.reddit.com/r/buildapcsales/search?q=SSD&sort=new&restrict_sr=on&feature=legacy_search regularly for a deal. I'd say get the copy of windows since that's instant and its basically a product key they give you for $20 and back up what you need and reinstall while you wait for a sale. Once you reinstall enough times you get pretty efficient at it. And reinstalling on an SSD is crazy fast compared to a harddrive too.

I'd quit thinking about it for today. If you feel like it you could always send a nice email tomorrow and see if she has a change of heart but after that I'd just make it a point not to do any more hits for her.

I just spent the past hour and a half collecting all the loose change from around my house. Originally I just needed like 3 more quarters to finish off a $10 roll but I ended up collecting about 12 dollars in coins.

I did it a different way and looked at the defrag window. It listed two Hard disk drives... so I'll definitely need to look into an SDD.
