That UT Texas estimation task is completely fucked. 1.5 Hours for a task that easily takes 1 hour. Forces people who probably don't know much about statistics to learn statistics within that time frame and make an informed decision. On top of that the bonus is completely screwed by the task which is the hardest to get right and which punished the hardest.

There was a theory that it happens when you're logged into the worker.mturk.com site at the same time. But I don't ever use that site, so that's not the issue for me. I don't know what it is.

I am logged into both all the time when working/lurking. HIT Finder pings worker, I work from mturk.com. Never have that problem, but I run UbuntuMate 16.04 so I don't know if that matters.
