Like the type of restaurant poor people think it's fancy, yeah one of those. So anyway, pick those dresses kthxbye"

LOL. And if the 'mother of the bride' had her daughter at a relatively early age, or married an older spouse who had kids from a previous relationship, the mother could easily still be in her 30s... (e.g. 36 if she had her daughter at 18 and daughter gets married at 18). That's hardly 'you should dress matronly' age...
