Hmmm... Quotes don't seem to be working for me... Anyway... Shelter dogs rock... shelter employees "bend" the truth at times.

There have been a few studies on that last area, and almost all of it came down to volunteers without training. Basically they don't know how to properly identify breeds, behavioral traits and behavioral problems. Once they had training, their accurate increased a good amount. Problem is training costs money, and the turnover is high so. ./shrug.

I just had it out with a volunteer in a rescue I work for who wanted to put a dog down as saluki. The dog has ZERO traits of one, doesn't match it in terms of looks or personality, but rare breed gets clicks. I vetoed that shit but jesus. >_>
