A block is a block. There are no different kinds of blocks

a hard block is when they email you (as far as i know) so this is a soft block, when they email you it`s a hard block. pretty sure it`s like this.

so why would you get emails for some but not others? i have only ever gotten 2 email blocks, but have been "blocked" from working on certain requesters HITs because when i try to work on them i get that message. but no email. ?

No one really knows, but blocks aren't the only things that do that. Qualifications don't always come with emails, either. Some people have suspected that it has to do with blocks/quals being assigned through the API and I've seen some people speculate that a certain number need to be assigned at once to trigger an email. No on has ever been able to figure it out, AFAIK, but I can assure you that there is only a single block function in the requester interface.

As others just said before, there's no difference between "hard block" or "soft block". That's some terms Turkers made up to try to explain why sometimes the email comes through and other times it doesn't.

That block message is from blocks.
A "qual block" would just say you aren't qualified to accept this hit.

when you get email is a hard block (after 3 you kinda get ban or something bad penalty) block without emails are soft blocks.

This is not true. There is only one block option on the requester's side. Emails are not always sent

Is there a script that shows you from the hits you completed to show you how much time all the hits together as an average took per hour. I would like to know how much I'm making here an hour on an average. To hard to tell myself, as if I'm in the middle of a long survey I'll go somewhere else for a few moments just to get away from it.
