I'm surprised at how some many videos are by really young kids. I don't think my parents would let me post videos on the internet had it existed when I was a kid.

I know! I was telling my son that earlier.. I would have had a huge issue with my 8 y/o posting videos on youtube. But, my children didn't have smart phones until they were older nor comps in their bedrooms.. just wasn't how I wanted to raise them.

I tell myself time & time again its gonna suck if all the work I have been putting in helping my 6 year old nephew out with basketball ends up voided by him saying fuck it & becoming a youtube video game reviewer

If its not hw or bball, its a 100% chance he's laying somewhere watching gta or minecraft vids on his iPad

you're parents didn't grow up on the internet and they didn't hand you a smart phone when you were 4 years old.

They also didn't grow up watching TV all day. They had a TV, but mostly they watched maybe a couple or three shows a week and a little bit on Saturdays.

all of my daughter's friends have smart phones. I've resisted - so I got her a dumb phone. She hates it. So, I had her download the app for her kindle (she's still dissatisfied).

It's harder and harder each year. And, of course, she's 13 - so.............she has neighborhood friends 1/2 her age who have one -

I'm lucky that my kids are older.. Got daughter Cell when she was 14, son 13 and baby at 12 ( and he never used it!). They just had cell phones with no bells and whistles BUT I couldn't afford anything fancy and they knew it.. honestly I would upgrade my phone and hand my old down to the oldest and then theirs to the next and so on.. that's how it went. Now their dad buys them lap tops and fancy phones but I'm lucky they're not interested in in all the video sites and stuff.

I went to sleep basically making peace with the fact that I missed a batch. Now I find out there's still another huge batch to be done, this is like one of those nightmares where work keeps chasing you and you can't outrun it.
