I'm planning to stare at the eclipse without any sort of eye protection for minutes on end so I'll go blind and I won't be able to see mturk anymore.[/QUOTE

Has anyone been following the eclipse news? I live about 30 miles where there will be total one people are acting crazy. Standing in line for hours to buy glasses. Be like me stay in the house and watch the live news feed.
I am. It's three days away and traffic certain places here is already backed up 15+ miles. I posted about it not too long ago, but no one loves me or cares. Except Vanyanka @Vanyanka

The news here had a guy who did that and he's not exactly blind (so he said) he just has a perme...I can't remember how to spell that right now but it's always there, spot on his eye like he just got a flashlight shined in his eye.
An article I read today that is similar to what you are talking about http://www.wmur.com/article/solar-eclipse-possible-eye-damage/12031904?utm_campaign=wmur9&utm_content=5997855e04d3011036895437&utm_medium=FBPAGE&utm_source=trueanthem

Doo doo doo lookin' out my back door.
There's a giant doing cartwheels, a statue wearin' high heels.
Look at all the happy creatures dancing on the lawn.
A dinosaur Victrola list'ning to Buck Owens.
Doo doo doo lookin' out my back door.
I don't want to look out my backdoor deer might come in.

I seen that on the news tonight do you live in Kentucky?
No I live in Cali and that was posted by a news station I follow from back home in NH, I imagine this guy had his story on many news stations all over the country.
