Hi everyone. Does anyone have advice on getting the database working again? I hadn't updated it in forever and now I'm trying to again but it will not do the first long update. It just freezes up, and freezes my computer up, again and again.

Have you tried to uninstall and then reinstall it again (you may lose anything not backed up previously though)?

No. I was worried about losing all the old info. But I haven't udpated it in over a year so I guess so the old info is so old it's probably not too awful to lose. I might have to try that. But I remember even new it took forever for a first update because it has to go through everything. So not sure it would change anything but maybe worth a try.

I guess it would depend on what you use your db for. If it's just to make sure that you don't repeat surveys, I would think you're safe reinstalling (for the reasons you stated). If it's because you save, compile, compare, etc all your data for your records ... as long as you're comfortable starting from today on again ... reinstall. Good luck!
