god, I had a phone interview this morning that asked me to describe what working on mturk was like lmaoo. I thought I'd prepared for this, and like I have talked about it in the past but not recently. I didn't think it'd be a phone interview, I thought it would be a phone call to schedule a real interview. and I was just so Not Prepared and hadn't even had caffeine yet, oops.

if i get this job it'll be a miracle, but, hey she did seem really intrigued even by my weird explaining of mturk, so hey. and now I know I need to practice what to say about working on here again for future interviews. Being back out in the job hunting world is weird.

Should've just forwarded them this image for a quick summary of Mturk in general.

This stupid nonsense can develop some important skills, like time management, prioritization, self-motivation, task-switching, etc. I find it harder to give a one line description of what I do than rambling on about it.

yeah, that's the thing, I rambled. and I'm so hard on myself, when like, I haven't had a call back in ages so this is actually a really good thing even if I don't get this job.

but yeah, I talked about time management skills, and having to work for myself basically, how it's given me a lot of self-discipline. Like mturk kind of forces me to push through my executive dysfunction in ways that really work for me. Oh, and I talked about just the variety on here, it being different each day-- I feel like that speaks towards flexibility and being adaptable. And a lot of people just can't work from home. I've had a lot of people tell me that. So the fact that I have been doing mturk really speaks to uh... my dedication to not leaving the house... lmfao I'm mostly kidding.
