a lot of zoo's have places within the facility to stay when bad weather like this strikes

not sure if the Houston zoo evacuated though. water is very high in a ton of areas here

They just put them wherever, but that's for the bad weather, not the flooding.

Haven't heard anything about flooding at the zoo. Not sure where that one came from. Probably a wild boar that was living in one of the forests around here.

Question for committee: I have a client that has a basic understanding of his finances and he knows to not trust poeople online. When he buys things online he uses a $25 card from walmart that charges $3.85ish activation fee. Someone convinced him thats the best way to protect his bank account and still shop online. That sound ridiculous to me. what would be his other safe options?

There is absolutely nothing that can protect him. What he's doing is just wasting money everytime he pays an activation fee. I have a credit card and the only transaction that occurs on it is $10.59 from Netflix every month. Last month that got compromised in the UK and they got $500 worth of crap from stores overseas. I've never taken the card out of the house or made a purchase outside of Netflix. You cant 100% protect yourself unless you physically go into the bank and withdraw money and pay everything in cash. Ask him if he writes checks. If he says yes, then let him know anyone who sees that check has his name, address, routing and account number. I usually tell this to people who say online purchasing is unsafe, it puts things into perspective for them

My cards get swiped maybe a couple times a year, but I've never had to pay for any of the fraudulent charges.

Credit cards are great as long as you're not one of those idiots who needs a new TV every season and tends to live outside of their means and doesn't know the value of a dollar
