There is absolutely nothing that can protect him. What he's doing is just wasting money everytime he pays an activation fee. I have a credit card and the only transaction that occurs on it is $10.59 from Netflix every month. Last month that got compromised in the UK and they got $500 worth of crap from stores overseas. I've never taken the card out of the house or made a purchase outside of Netflix. You cant 100% protect yourself unless you physically go into the bank and withdraw money and pay everything in cash. Ask him if he writes checks. If he says yes, then let him know anyone who sees that check has his name, address, routing and account number. I usually tell this to people who say online purchasing is unsafe, it puts things into perspective for them

I should have specified that he has a mental handicap but is his own guardian. I am just curious what options are available for limited damage if a mistake is made. So what you say is true but a card with only $25 on it can't be taken for anything more than the $25. I just thought that you could use a regular $25 visa card online without the activation fee.

People can be mean on social media even without all of this. Shame that people are being mean because of this as well. I try to stay off FB a lot but most of my timeline seems to be as in good spirits as they possibly can be at the moment given the situation

They're tired and worrying about family that is stranded or standing on their roofs. It's bound to happen. People are stuck in centers now wanting to go home and they can't. The police chief is crying on TV now. They are tired. they've been at this for days now with several more to go. Then when people start coming home and see what's happened and how much the insurance will only pay if they have that there will be more tears. Yes, Texans are good people and when this push comes to shove maybe they won't loose that.

Maybe if you made a concise and polite post explaining your position, instead of posting passive aggressive memes, it might not be so off putting.

Hmm, perhaps i was a bit miffed when a batch i was working got throttled and figured my position was self evident, however; to please you, i'll bring up a point that's been raised many times before.
It doesn't make sense to export a HIT if you're still making money off it. It'll only make them disappear sooner. That's not opinion or anecdotal, it's obvious fact. My position is against the export, not wholly against mentioning batches. It's one thing to want to help the people on the forum you use, it's something else entirely to do it at the determent of yourself and any people who are able to find their own work.
Did i explain anything you couldn't infer from my other posts?
