Well, don't be too quick to discount the fact that people submit horrible, awful, very no good work all the time. If you've ever done a review batch of any kind, you'll see that immediately.

Oh I know lol and often times sit and wonder if I am the only one on Turk with half a brain Not quite that extreme but you know what I mean lol

On the bright side tho since 2008 this is the first time I have had more than 1 hit rejected so I guess that is a pretty damn good thing. Just got my blood boiling to go from 12 to 28 rejects.....the number 28 though is growing on me. I'll justify accepting it because 28 is my birthday....yeah that will work.

If you're going to check 20% of the HITs, why not do 20% from each person, then reject or accept their individual contributions based on that check?

Yeah I think so, I did the price ones like 2 weeks ago and all approved. Then I saw TO of blocks and held back. The blocks got lifted and the price ones dropped yesterday so i went with it.

Could be. I don't know. I didn't like the look of them and checked TO, and despite reversing the blocks, I just didn't feel comfortable. Scared money and all. But rejecting a whole batch based on overall performance and not on individual work is not a good look and makes me not trust them all the more. I can't believe they even admitted to that.
