i really hated DC altogether. i didn't find any redeeming qualities about it. the cost, traffic, and pretentiousness all really irked me. the first question anyone asks is "what do you do?" FFS, i'm more than what i do for a living.

idk, i grew up about 3 hours south of DC so i did all the memorials and museums a bunch while i was in school. my HS senior class field trip was to DC for example. so when i actually lived there, the LAST thing i wanted to do was get back into traffic after getting home from work and mingle with tourists.
