Yeah. I don't donate to any big organizations because I like to handpick organizations that operate on a smaller scale and mostly with volunteers. With that said. there aren't many volunteer organization I would trust to handle 100's of millions of dollars of donations a year and still get 90+% to programs. And people want to keep pointing at Haiti and the 25% that went to eternal operations you have to remember that haiti was a corrupt and nearly non-existent functional government. I am assuming they hid all the pay-offs they had to do to get aid there in internal spending.

Did you fact check, You can't always believe everything you read. Don't know if true or not, tried looking URL up on Snopes but didn't come up.

Snopes has been shown to be unreliable and I've checked the Houston sites. They aren't seeing the money, not just Red Cross money but many of the donations that were to be given including that Watts guy.

stupid question.. The amounts listed are only for the approved and paid HITs whether or not they were completed last week, right? Like all my money came from shit I did the week before so all the stuff that I did this week (that takes 7 days to get paid) is not included in the money amount- I think I asked that right lol I haven't gone to bed yet and my mind is fried from work last night

Numerous outlets have reported on the Red Cross recently and its failure to actually do good. Since the recession it's management has been loaded with former AT&T execs jumping ship

Thanks. It is my 78 year old uncle and his wife. Last time I called him about a hurricane he laughed and said he has been thru 20 of them over the years and don't let the media scare me.
That is why I asked here because he would have gave me a similar response to why am I calling him again? lol
