I have read articles from NPR probublica and salon and they all seem to fixate on how much of specific event donations go to that event. They mention Haiti and the boondoggle that was (which was a boondoggle for everyone not just ARC) but they don't really mention that what they don't spend on the single events goes mostly to low scale disasters that no one gives a shit about like tornadoes and non-hurricane floodingNumerous outlets have reported on the Red Cross recently and its failure to actually do good. Since the recession it's management has been loaded with former AT&T execs jumping ship
