At one of the jobs, the librarian let me come in for the last 15 minutes of a 4 hour shift most Sundays, just to close the place, instead of actually being there and pretending to work.

But when I was a circulation supervisor at [redacted] I did actually work. They take themselves very seriously.

Something really exciting just happened!

I was so jealous of everyone's Allegion quals that I contacted the requester a few days ago and asked if they had plans to add new workers anytime soon. This afternoon I got an email inviting me to take their qual tests. I have no idea how I did, but it goes to show it never hurts to ask!
